The William Sarchuk Ukrainian School

If you are interested in having your children learn the Ukrainian language, become acquainted with interesting facts about Ukraine, make Ukrainian friends and participate in Ukrainian cultural programs, then enroll them in the William Sarchuk Ukrainian School, which is an integral part of the Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral of St. Vladimir in Hamilton.

The 2011-2012 season will begin on Saturday, September 17, 2011. We invite children from age 3 (kindergarten) to 15 to enroll into our programs. The children, according to their level of knowledge, will have the opportunity to learn to speak, read and write in Ukrainian. They are also acquainted with literature, religion, history and geography of Ukraine. As well they are introduced to the Ukrainian traditions, learn to sing Ukrainian songs, and participate in concerts and other community events.

School hours are from 9:00am to 12:00 noon every Saturday.

Bandura lessons will commence on October 1, 2011. Students receive introductory music knowledge, along with learning to play and sing along with the bandura. We invite both beginners and those who have previously studied the bandura. We have small size banduras for the very young students.
